I realized this morning that I have been somewhat remiss, in that I have not alerted you to the fact that so many great comics bargains have been added to our website during the past six weeks. While Reese has been working diligently on grading magazines, the rest of our inventory team has been adding Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, and Independent comics into These magazine price reductions are most likely temporary, however, as once we finish processing this backlog, it will probably become much more difficult for us to find replacements for the scarce issues that we had stashed for so many years. Not only has our selection greatly expanded, but in the instances where Reese graded significant numbers of multiples of the same magazine, our prices have also been slashed.

Our speediest grader, Reese, has already worked his way through eight 6' high pallets of magazines, and is now working on his ninth! Thanks to his diligent efforts, we have immensely expanded our overall selection of comics, science fiction, and old horror magazines of all kinds. Well, with this fantastic new steel shelving unit now available to us, we've gone full bore on grading the huge backlog of magazines that we've piled up around the warehouse. Magazines from most other publishers (of which there are hundreds.) were set aside to be graded at some undetermined "later" date. We did process many thousands of magazines during that same period of time, but we focused almost exclusively on grading Marvel, For many years, we concentrated almost exclusively on grading and entering into our online inventoriesĬomics. As a case in point,Ĭrew will be continuing this morning to fill up the huge "new" magazine rack that I slowly reconstructed over the past three weeks, with 700 boxes containing our magazine pulling files. Offices by a bit this morning to let the roads clear, but the moisture that we received for our pastures is well worth that slight inconvenience.Įven though I will be starting my workday a little late, a great many positive things are happening right now at Mile High Comics. The water contained in the snow is also a real blessing, as the winter here in Boulder, Colorado has been exceptionally dry. I know the magic won't last, but as the sun sparkles on the two inches of fresh snow that we received overnight, the whole world looks fresh and clean.
As the sun is breaking on the horizon this morning, the entire world is a beautiful white.
